Myhrtoolkit has a powerful Setup & Admin area for configuring and maintaining your system. As part of the plans for improving the usability and design of our software, we are transforming the Setup & Admin area to ensure that it focuses on helping you configure your system, while ensuring functions related to users appear in more appropriate areas.
This page will detail changes and improvements as they take place.
From today, Config has become the main area for configuring your settings. You can access Config from the main menu on the top right of the application.
You'll still be able to use Setup & admin for a limited time via the Config area; we'll let you know when it's being switched off completely.
We’ve launched the Config area for Controllers to start using, for plenty of time to become familiar with the new and improved system. You can access the Config area by heading to Setup & Admin and finding the button on the top-left of the page.
We’ll soon be launching a new and improved area called Config to replace Setup & Admin. This will be the go-to area for Controllers when organising company information, with smoother navigation and a more intuitive design.
The functionality found in Setup & Admin will largely be retained in the Config area, except for a few functions that have already moved to the Management area (as communicated in the update below).
The Config area has a number of key configuration settings, held within these main areas:
We will soon be making the config area available to try, so Controllers will be able to get a feel for the new design and start using it if they wish to. For a limited period of time, Controllers will be able to toggle between the existing and new pages via an in-app link.
To make our software more intuitive and user-friendly, some functionality within the Setup & Admin area will now also be appearing within Management. These functions will eventually appear solely in Management. This is because we want to create more definition between the different areas, segmenting configuration settings and those used to manage Users and their individual details.
Some of the functions that will eventually move from Setup & Admin have always been available in both Setup & Admin and Management. Going forward, these functions will be retained in just the Management tab. Though options may be slightly modified or appear slightly different, all functionality is staying the same and will offer the same flexibility as it does now. Other functions will be moved to new Management areas or combined with existing Management areas.
Note – No functionality will be lost in this transition, as functions are either appearing and eventually moving into Management or are already in Management and simply being retired from Setup & Admin in future.
We are introducing a Bulk Data feature to the Management area for Controllers, where a range of existing functions from setup & admin will appear. You’ll see a new button for this in the Management toolbar. This area has been designed to allow Controllers to see information for multiple users in one place.
